A note of the Next Generation Banknote series, the current series of the Reserve Bank of Australia. This denomination was released into general circulation on 20 September 2017. Every denomination in the series has its own wattle and its own bird: here they are the Bramble Wattle (Acacia victoriae) and the Sulphur-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua galerita).
The face shows AB «Banjo» Paterson. The back shows Dame Mary Gilmore. The most interesting security features are a clear top-to-bottom window holding several security features at once, tilt the banknote and a three-dimensional pen nib with a colourful border appears and tilt the banknote and the Cockatoo moves its wings and changes colour.
The Australian run suits a collection because it shows a whole transition: paper, the world's first complete polymer issue, and the current series in which every denomination has its own bird and its own wattle. UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
At VPcoins coins and banknotes are chosen both for collections and as gifts.
